Srinagar, March 11, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Muslim Personal Law Board has urged Pakistan and India to resolve all issues through dialogue as wars bring destruction in the countries. This was said during a meeting of the Muslim Personal Law Board, which was held in Srinagar with Grand Mufti, Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam in chair. The meeting was attended by distinguished members from all over Kashmir.
The participants of the meeting said there is tension between India and Pakistan on borders and India has also increased its state terrorism in Kashmir. They said that all issues should be resolved through negotiations as wars bring destruction in the countries.
Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam addressing the meeting deplored that after imposition of ban on Jamaat-e-Islami in the occupied territory, religious and political leaders were being harassed and tortured on one way or the other. He denounced the summoning of Hurriyat forum Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq by the Indian National Investigation Agency (NIA) and said such illogical moves would further deteriorate the Kashmir situation instead of resolving it.
He said that innocent people were being killed in the occupied territory on daily basis and the amicable and peaceful settlement of the lingering Kashmir dispute would end bloodshed besides bringing progress and prosperity in the region.
