Islamabad, September 30, 2021 (PPI-OT):Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri has congratulated leadership and people of China on 72nd founding anniversary of People’s Republic of China. They said that that Pakistan and China enjoys exemplary and unique friendship based on mutual trust, respect and strategic partnership.
They expressed these views in their separate messages on the occasion of 72nd founding anniversary of the people’s republic of China. The Speaker said that the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949 was a historic step which was made possible by the tireless struggle of the Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party.
This struggle of the Chinese nation inspired people all over the world to stand against imperialism and colonialism. He said that since 1949, China has made commendable achievements in all walks of life. He said that in a short span of 40 years, China has introduced new dimensions in poverty alleviation, technology, astronomy, medicine and other fields. He added that China’s rapid growth in production, socio-economic development, is best example for the world.
The Speaker said that China’s development is due to the selfless leadership of the Communist Party of China and the utmost struggle of the Chinese people. He said that the friendly relations between the two countries are time tested and the two friendly countries have always supported each other’s stance on regional and international forums. ۔
The Speaker said that the Government and people of Pakistan valued China’s blunt stance on the Kashmir issue. ۔ He added that China has extended generous support in providing vaccines and other necessary equipment during the Covid-19 pandemic, for which the entire Pakistani nation is grateful to Chinese people and government for this generosity. Stressing for the need to further strengthening parliamentary ties between the two countries, the Speaker said that the improvement in the relations between two legislatures in recent past are satisfactory.
He said that the virtual meeting held in January 2021 with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of China was very useful in which it was agreed to further enhance bilateral parliamentary contacts. He said that the parliamentarians of both the countries could play an important role in promoting and bringing closer the harmony between the two nations.
On the occasion, Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri said that Pakistan is proud of its everlasting friendship with China which is getting stronger with the passage of time. ۔ He said that Pakistani and Chinese people have a spirit of brotherhood, sympathy and love for each other and stand by each other in every difficult time. He said that completion of game changer project like C-Pack would change the destiny of the region and usher in a new era of Pak-China relations. He congratulated the Chinese people and government on the 72nd anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
