NA Speaker Says Pakistan Render Huge Scarifies in War against Terrorism and Every Home Affected Due to This Bane

Islamabad, September 18, 2018 (PPI-OT): Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiserhas has said that Pakistan has rendered huge sacrifices for global peace and there was no home in Pakistan which has not affected due to terrorism. “The war against terrorism has no linked with Pakistan it was imposed upon us and the Pakistan suffered huge loses of precious lives and properties due to this war” he added. He expressed these views while talking to a 10 Member delegation of European Conservatives and Reformists Group (ECR) of the European Parliament led by Vice President of the ECR Mr. Hans-Olaf HENKEL, who called on him at Parliament House, Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Speaker said that he belongs to that region of Paksitan which was highly affected by terrorism. He said that Mosques, Imam Bargahs, Schools and public places were attacked by the terrorists. He said the World has not acknowledged the Pakistan’s sacrifices as it deserved in war against terrorism. He said that Pakistan has considerably overcome upon bane of terrorism and due to which trust of the foreign investors have restored and they were taking keen interest to invest in Pakistan. He said that Pakistan is committed to promote peace and security in the region. The Speaker highlighted that Pakistan’s entire political leadership is determined to fast-track progress on outreach to Europe as part of its regional connectivity endeavors and further outlined that Pakistan’s has resolved to root out terrorism from the region.

While replying the questions raised by the participants of delegation the Speaker said that elimination of corruption and promotion of education was foremost priority of the incumbent government and they are taking concrete steps to achieve these goals. He said to resolve the problems faced by the masses at local level, the present Government strengthening the local bodies institutions in the country and wanted to empowered them administratively and on revenue side.

Asad Qaiser invited Europen Union for inclusion in China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said that CPEC project was a project of development of the Region and with its completion a new era of progress and prosperity will usher in the region. He said that Pakistan seeks a comprehensive and enduring partnership with European Union to facilitate human and institutional development in the region and beyond.

While talking to the Delegation, the Speaker said that EU and Pakistan shares perception of various global issues and attaches high value to its strategic partnership in various fields. He remarked that Pakistan seeks strong partnership with European Union to strengthen democratic institutions, and forge sustainable patterns of governance at all levels. He underlined the need for enhance interaction between the Parliament of Pakistan and European Union to further stregthening the bilateral relations.

Vice President of the ECR Mr. Hans-Olaf HENKEL acknowledged Pakistan’s aspiration for regional peace and security and said that Pakistani nation has combat terrorism very bravely and European Union values high Pakistan’s sactifices against terrorism. He endorsed Asad Qaiser’s proposal for expansion and diversification of trade and economic relations. He added that EU Parliament is also keen to partner with Pakistan for uplifting performance of democratic institutions, strengthening rule of law and promoting genuine human development in the region.

He further said that a pro-active role of Parliaments in cementing EU-Pakistan ties is highly imperative. The EU delegation praised Pakistan’s continued strides towards democracy and parliamentary supremacy. They took keen interest in the working of the parliament and sought quarries from the Speaker on the enhanced parliamentary scrutiny of the Executive and its legislative performance.
