Nadihal student succumbs to injuries in IOK

Srinagar, July 10, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, a teenage student of 11th class who suffered bullet injuries at the hands of Indian troops succumbed at a hospital in Srinagar, today. The student youth, Ubaid Manzoor Lone, who sustained critical injuries during Indian forces’ firing in Nadihal, Sopore area of Baramulla district on June 25 died at Soura Institute of Medical Sciences in Srinagar after battling for life for 15 days.

The 11th class student was hit by a bullet after the personnel of Indian Border Security Force opened fire on a group of students protesting against the planned genocide of Kashmiri youth on a call given by the Joint Resistance Leadership. Meanwhile, Ishaq Naikoo, the father of one Zeenat Ahmed Naikoo trapped in Kundlan Shopian operation died due to heart attack. He was declared as brought dead in Shopian hospital.

Earlier, two Indian soldiers – including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) – were injured in an attack when a joint team of Indian Army, Central Reserve Police Force and police launched a cordon and search operation in Kundalan area of Shopian district. Soon after the operation, the people of the area mostly youth took to the streets and staged anti-India protests. The forces’ personnel used brute force and fired pellets and teargas shells on the protesters. The clashes and operation continued till reports last came in.
