Naimatullah, Safdar help Quetta, Multan win in T-20 Blind Cricket

KARACHI: A brilliant knock by Naimatullah helped Quetta knocking out Sheikhupura with a gigantic margin of 225 after their score of 347 for just 2 wickets down in NBPT-20 Blind Cricket Tournament.

His blistering knock of 154 from just 65 balls consisted of 14 boundaries whereas Naseebullah scored an unbeaten 89 runs.

In reply, Sheikhupura could only manage to get 122 with Abdul Sattar being the highest scorer for his team with 29 runs. Qaisar Ali and Abdul Saleem grabbed two wickets each.

Naimatullah was awarded man of the match for his explosive century.

In another match Abbottabad clashed with Hyderabad at Afza Cricket Ground. After winning the toss Hyderabad posted 173 for 8 on the scorecard. Amjad Hussain’s captain scored 95 and helped the side set a decent target. Muhammad Adeel took three for 22 and Naeem Ullah got two scalps.

Abbottabad chased down the target with ease in just 9.4 overs. Naeem Ullah with his 76 not out was the highest run scorer and Muhammad Adeel’s 36 runs took their team to the victory. Naeem Ullah for his all-round performance was adjudged man of the match.

In the third match, Multan outclassed Faisalabad by 66 runs defending a mammoth score of 269. Faisalabad’s decision to field first didn’t went in their favor as Muhammad Safdar hammered their bowlers with a fantastic 189 from mere 82 balls hitting 30 boundaries and one maximum in his knock. Ahsan Razzaq scored 49 runs.

Multan restricted Faisalabad for 203 for the loss of 4 wickets. Ijaz Hussain added 60 and Bilal Ali chipped 47 runs to the scorecard. Hafiz Abdul Razzaq got two for 33 in his 4 overs for Multan. Muhammad Safdar was given man of the match.

Last match was played between host city Karachi and Sargodha at Annu Bhai Cricket Ground. Karachi won the toss and chose to chase. The match was reduced to 15 overs. Sargodha batting first made 167 for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 15 overs. Their key player Gulsher didn’t do well in this encounter as he fell for just 16 runs. Ahsan Ullah along with captain Zaran Khan led the innings with 49 and 32 runs respectively. Tahir Ali and Abdul Wahab grabbed one scalp each.

Karachi easily chased down the target winning it by nine wickets. Tahir Ali was the star of the match after his impressive 98 runs knock featuring 15 boundaries and was also given player of the match award.
