Nasir Shah assures resolving issues of marriage hall industry

Karachi:On Tuesday a delegation of Karachi Marriage Halls Banquet Owners Association met with Senior Minister Nasir Hussain Shah along with Secretary Information and Commissioner Karachi.

Meeting remained very positive. Nasir Shah ensured the delegation that this industry would soon be opened, either before Eid or just after Eid. He requested the Association not to stage any further protest in this regard.

He assured that the government fully realizes the agony of the labour associated with this industry. He also assured that we would soon announce a relief package in coordination with the federal government. Loans will be offered to the Marriage Halls to avoid closure of halls and interest shall be borne by Sindh Government for a few months till the marriage halls operations come in full swing.

He also assured that Sindh Government would soon issue a notification regarding refund policy of halls that the refund would be made to the parties six months after the marriage halls become operational.

He also said that Marriage Hall industry is as important as the construction industry and could not be ignored in terms of its impact on the domestic economy. He suggested that Prime Minister Imran Khan should have announced its opening prior to the construction industry.
