(National): Advocate blames SSP Bangash for behind attack on him

Larkana: Advocate Babu Sarfraz Jatoi, PML-Nawaz leader and member Pakistan Bar Council, alleged that Qaisar Jatoi, son of a retired DSP, attacked him along with his armed men in which his car was completely damaged but Allahabad police had so far failed to register an FIR against the accused.

The real reason for this is SSP Masood Bangash and his hands are behind the attack on him, he said while addressing a press conference at Larkana Press Club Friday along with advocates Aslam Jatoi, Imran Abbasi, Oshaque Ali Sangi, PML-N Larkana President Zulfiqar Sahto and others.

He said he had complained before the Chief Justice, Supreme Court of Pakistan, sometime ago that drug and gambling dens had been opened in all streets and localities of Larkana and the city had become a safe haven for the drug users and gamblers due to which the future of young people was at stake.

“Police are taking decisions in the name of half fry and fully fry due to which the lives of the people have been destroyed, hence SSP Bangash is equally responsible for attack on me,” he added. He warned that if police did not change their attitude then they will hold protests across the province and then the country. He demanded lodging of FIR and arrest of the accused without loss of further time.

Meanwhile, SSP Masood Bangash has directed all SHOs of all police stations of Larkana district after the news conference to ensure elimination of all drug and gambling dens from their respective limits within a week and deposit a certificate in this connection in his office that no drug or gambling den is operating in their jurisdiction or else, he warned, they will be suspended and dismissed from services.

Bangash said while talking to local newsmen that it had been decided to wipe out all gambling and drug dens from the district to save the future of the young generation. He said social evils had ruined their future, hence he had issued strict instructions to all the Station House Officers (SHOs) of Larkana district to eliminate them. He appealed to the public to pinpoint such dens so that stern action could be taken against them properly.
