Naval Chief attends COMKAR Command Annual Efficiency Award ceremony in Karachi

KARACHI:COMKAR Command Annual Efficiency Award for the year 2020 was held at Bahria Auditorium, Karachi. Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi graced the occasion as chief guest.

Upon his arrival, the chief guest was received by Commander Karachi, Vice Admiral Faisal Rasul Lodhi.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief of the Naval Staff underlined that Pakistan Navy is fully cognizant of its responsibilities to safeguard the sea frontiers including CPEC and Gwadar Port. The Naval Chief highlighted the role of modern trends of training to develop better human resource that can meet the upcoming challenges. He also emphasized on continuous pursuance for professional excellence and capacity building of training units and welfare of personnel.

Earlier in his welcome address, Commander Karachi Vice Admiral Faisal Rasul Lodhi elaborated the role of COMKAR Command and the importance of professional and technical training being imparted at these units. He presented the detailed overview of COMKAR Command and various tasks undertaken during the year including strenuous efforts/ assistance provided to all Fields Commands at South during ongoing pandemic COVID-19. He also underscored the conduct of Ops Madad Karachi to assist local government and NDMA in 2020.

Later, the Chief Guest gave away efficiency shields/ prizes to the best Units/ individuals in different categories. Overall Efficiency Shield of Major Training Unit was awarded to PNS KARSAZ, whereas Overall Efficiency Shield of Smaller Training Unit was won by PNS RAHNUMA. PNS NIGRAAN was awarded Overall Efficiency Shield for support/ services. The Naval Chief congratulated the prize winning units and individuals and appreciated overall performance of the COMKAR Command in various facets.
