Negotiation among all warring Afghan factions only way for establishing peace: Fawad

Islamabad, July 18, 2021 (PPI-OT):Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has said that peace cannot be established in Afghanistan unless all warring factions sit together. In an interview with a private television channel, he said durable peace in Afghanistan is imperative for economic progress of the whole region.

Chaudhry Fawad Hussain categorically said that Pakistan will not interfere inside Afghanistan, but always ready for playing a role for restoration of peace. He said that the situation inside Afghanistan could only be improved by the Afghan people and not by Pakistan.

The Information Minister said that a train service from Tashkent to Karachi via Kabul is being planned and a truck system also in the pipeline, but peace is a prerequisite for all the projects. About internal situation, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said Prime Minister Imran Khan is focusing on the welfare of the tribal people and 54 billion rupees have been earmarked in the current budget for the development of merged districts of Pakhtunkhwa.
