President, Pakistan Physiotherapy Association Balochistan sector, Dr. Muhammad Umair Baloch on Sunday called on the authorities to create new vacancies for adjustment of unemployed physiotherapists of the province and frame new service structure for physiotherapists serving in Health Department Balochistan.
Addressing a press conference at the Quetta Press Club with other office bearers of Pakistan Physiotherapy Association Balochistan sector, he said that the role of physiotherapists in health sector could not be denied, adding that physiotherapy helped to restore movement and function when someone was affected by injury, illness or disability, but in Balochistan the role of physiotherapists had completely been ignored which could be judged from the fact that authorities of Health Department intended to include physiotherapists into the council of nurses.
He said new vacancies for appointment of physiotherapists had not been created due to which qualified physiotherapists of the province remained unemployed.
He said that new office bearers Pakistan Physiotherapy Association Balochistan sector had recently been elected, adding that the newly elected office bearers, including Vice President, Dr. Sanoober Khan, Secretary General, Dr. Arslan Khan, Joint Secretary, Dr. Faheem Baloch, Finance Secretary, Dr. Abdullah Kakar, Audit Secretary, Dr. Ayesha Waqar and Web Secretary, Dr. Salma, would strive for the rights of physiotherapists of Balochistan.
He demanded of the authorities to create new vacancies for adjustment of unemployed physiotherapists of the province and frame new service structure for physiotherapists serving in Health Department Balochistan instead of merging physiotherapists of Balochistan in the council of nurses.
