NHA Regains 352 kanals land worth Rs. 1.586 billion from encroachers

Islamabad, November 23, 2018 (PPI-OT): On directive of State Minister for Communications Mr. Murad Saeed the National Highway Authority is implementing its anti-encroachment drive under 75 days action plan successfully to clear its Right of Way from the encroachers and to date, 2254 sites have been cleared in various parts of the country.

According to details, 334 locations in Dera Ismail Khan, 95 in Hyderabad, 59 in Multan, 99 in Bahawalpur, 495 in Rahim Yar Khan, 100 in Bat Khela, 42 in Wazirabad, 197 in Lahore and 833 sites in Rawalpindi and Islamabad-Murree Dual Carriageway have been recaptured by NHA.

Such encroachments include Steel sheds, Stalls, Pakka Hotels, Water Tanks, Cabins and Stair Cases. As a result of anti-encroachment drive a total of 352 kanals land has been regained valuing Rs. 1.586 billion. Chairman NHA Mr. Jawwad Rafique Malik is personally supervising this anti-encroachment campaign to make it a success.
