Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has categorically rejected claims of firing on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protesters, asserting that no such action was taken and that no fatalities occurred among the demonstrators.

Speaking during a visit to D-Chowk and Jinnah Avenue overnight, Tarar accused the PTI leadership of spreading “baseless propaganda” to deflect from the embarrassment of their failed protest. He stated that while the protesters were dispersed, there was no involvement of state forces in the alleged violence.

Pointing to the deserted vehicles left behind by the protesters, the Information Minister said they damaged public property. He said it is beyond understanding as to what was the aim of their protest.

The Minister criticized the PTI leadership, saying that making big claims and then fleeing the protest site is their hallmark. He said that both Bushra Bibi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur fled together in the same vehicle.
