No fund from Centre: Gorakh Hills Station uplift work delayed, says Jamali

GARHI KHUDA BUX: PPP MNA Rafique Ahmed Jamali claimed on Thursday that development of Gorakh Hills Station had been delayed because the federal government was not providing funds for uplift schemes of Sindh and the provincial government was carrying out development there out of its own resources.

He said this while talking to media persons where he reached along with a caravan of his supporters to offer prayers at the graves of martyred Bhutto leaders.

Jamali said that out of under-constrution 30 kilometers long new road of Gorakh Hill Station, 28 kilometers had been completed with a high quality.

He said it was very difficult to complete uplift schemes in mountains in one or two years for which a long time was required.

He said if required funds are provided then they can make Gorakh Hill Station like Murree. He said hotels and other facilities have already been provided but a lot is yet to be done to attract a large number of visitors and tourists as the weather there is very pleasant during summer season.

In reply to another question, Jamali said that if water theft was stopped by the Center then shortage would be overcome in Johi taluka of Dadu district. He said they were improving the lining of the Johi Canal after which wastage would be reduced and scarcity would be overcome and tail enders would receive water share which was their right.

Jamali said in reply to yet another question that PPP could not appoint all jiyalas as office bearers and further claimed that there were no differences among them in Dadu when he was told about the rift among them. He said some people would oppose but the majority of them were with him here today.

He also paid tribute to Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and criticized PTI MNA Ali Amin Gandapur for his derogatory remarks about Bhutto.
