Lahore, October 29, 2021 (PPI-OT):There will not be any surcharge or penalty on late payment of Property Tax after 29th of October. This was stated by the Waqas Ali, Secretary Excise and Taxation Punjab while talking to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Secretary Excise and Taxation told that the notification in this regard will be issued as soon as provincial cabinet holds its meeting.
However, Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar and Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Hafiz Mumtaz Ahmed have already given verbal approval and the date will be extended to December 31st without any penalty or surcharge. LCCI President Mian Nauman Kabir, Senior Vice President Mian Rehman Aziz Chan and Vice President Haris Ateeq welcomed the decision and termed it a big relief for the business community.
