LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Thursday vowed to stand by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

The Punjab CM expressed his thoughts while meeting former federal minister Pervaiz Khattak at CM House and also discussed the matters about the Punjab Assembly and political situation. He also assured Mr Khattak that they would counter the opposition.

CM Elahi lambasted the coalition government, saying that the inept rulers had been sorted out. “They just cause uproar of the no-confidence motion or governor’s rule to please themselves.” Earlier today, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi called on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and reaffirmed his support in the dissolution of the Punjab Assembly.

While informing about the meeting, former Federal Minister Moonis Elahi took to Twitter and penned that “We (PML-Q) have assured Imran Khan that the chief minister slot belongs to Khan, and CM Elahi will dissolve the assembly whenever Khan directs [him]”. Earlier, the CM had placed his recommendations on the dissolution before Mr Khan during a meeting at Zaman Park, Lahore.
