QUETTA:Government of Balochistan has taken notice of violation of Government Advertisement Policy, 2013.
A hand out issued by Government of Balochistan, Information Department states, “Clause (1) of the Government of Balochistan Advertisement Policy, 2013 provides that; “All Government Department, Autonomous Bodies and project running under the Government Control will send their advertisement to the Director Public Relations (DPR) for placement with newspapers / periodicals. No Government Department/ Autonomous Bodies or authority under Government control shall issue advertisement to any newspapers / periodicals directly”.
Handout further says, “It has been brought to the notice of this Department that most of the Provincial Government Departments and Autonomous Bodies are releasing advertisement directly to Newspapers for publication. The higher authorities have taken a very serious notice of this state of affairs and asked this department to direct all the Provincial Government Departments / Autonomous Bodies / Projects etc. running under the government control to route their advertisements i.e., Tender Notices / Gallop Tenders / Advertisements of vacancies etc. through the information Department / Directorate of Public Relation vide Clause (1) of the Government of Balochistan Advertisement Policy, 2013 above”.
It further says, “It is, therefore, requested to follow provisions of the advertisement policy, 2013 in letter and spirit and also circulate necessary instructions to your subordinate offices concerned to route their advertisements through the Information Department/ Director General Public Relations in future”.
