Lahore, October 17, 2019 (PPI-OT): On the direction of Inspector General of Police Punjab Captain (R) Arif Nawaz Khan psychology test and profiling of Punjab police officials have been started. In the supervision of Battalion Commander Mufakhar Adeel and with the cooperation of psychology department of Government College University Lahore a seminar titled “Anger Management” was held for profiling and counselling of the officials who are performing their duties at sensitive places, offices and with high profile persons and after the seminar, psychological session was conducted to observe the positive and negative behaviour of more than 100 officials and to make sure their psychological training. On this occasion psychiatrist Professor Salma Hassan along with Dr. Rabia conducted the tests of police officials and gave them guidelines.
On this occasion, Battalion Commander Abbas Police lines Mufakhar Adeel said that on the direction of IGP Punjab profiling of the police officials has been conducted who are deputed at important duties in the city and after receiving the result of the test they will be posted on duties as per their capacity.
Moreover, he said that the mental capacity of the police officials will be judged on the basis of their psychological tests and after their profiling their religious keenness may be observed and on the basis of their results they will be posted on important duties. The officials who will be found mentally ill will not be posted on sensitive duties. Moreover, he told that with the profiling of police officials, arrangements of lectures by experts for the counselling of police officials have been arranged. Workshops are also being arranged for Inspectors and Sub Inspectors who are working in the environment of stress to teach them how to control anger and good behave with citizens.
