KARACHI: A bandit was killed and another injured in a police encounter that took place on Tuesday in Memon Goth area of the city.
According to the police sources, the encounter took place in Memon Goth, Malir, where after exchange of fire, a dacoit was killed and one injured, who was arrested. The killed dacoit was identified as Imtiaz Ali, son Ghulam Hyder, while injured was identified as Naik Muhammad, son of Muhammad Raees.
The police also claimed to have recovered two pistols, a motorcycle without number plate, four snatched phones and Rs 12,500 cash from the possession of dacoits. The body and injured were shifted to Ninnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively.
