OKARA: An alleged robber was killed in crossfire with the police on Okara bypass early on Wednesday. Two others, however, managed to escape while taking benefit of dark.

According to the Okara police, some robbers were looting citizens after setting up a picket on bypass in Saddar police jurisdiction. After seeing a police team, the suspects opened fire. A gun battle ensued between the two sides that left one of the robbers dead.

A search operation was launched for the arrest of the runway fugitives. The deceased's boy was shifted to a hospital for post-mortem examination.
