Islamabad, September 11, 2019 (PPI-OT): The opening ceremony of New Judicial Year 2019-2020 was held today i.e. 11.09.2019 (Wednesday) in Court Room No. 1 of Supreme Court of Pakistan, at Islamabad, which was presided over by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr. Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa and was attended by Hon’ble Judges, Law officers and members from legal fraternity.
The ceremony was held on the eve of start of a new Judicial Year to take stock of performance of the past year with a view to formulate future policies to advance the cause of justice and protect the rights of people. The programme consisted of speeches by Attorney General for Pakistan, Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council and President, Supreme Court Bar Association, Pakistan. The Hon’ble Chief Justice also graced the occasion with his address.
