DIG Sukkur Range, Captain (R) Faisal Abdullah Chachar, has issued orders to tighten security for the Easter celebrations of the Christian community. He instructed relevant officers to maintain contact with the community leaders.

The Christian community has been preparing to celebrate Easter festivities on Sunday April 20. On Saturday, the DIG directed the SSPs of Sukkur, Khairpur, and Ghotki, along with all DSPs and SHOs, to deploy police personnel for security at churches and Christian neighborhoods throughout the entire week.

Instructions were also given to change the shifts of personnel on duty at churches and Christian areas on-site. Additionally, a ban will be imposed on parking near churches, and traffic control will be ensured.

Major churches will be searched by bomb disposal teams, and special personnel will be deployed at churches every Sunday. DIG Sukkur further stated that all district DIG in-charges will be required to report daily on security deployments for Easter.

DIG Sukkur assured the leaders of the Christian community that the police in the Sukkur range will prioritize their security.
