Over 20 shopkeepers arrested for violating lockdown rules in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD:More than 20 shopkeepers were arrested on Friday in Hyderabad for violating lockdown rules.

Assistant Commissioner City Mohammad Ibrahim leading a police team raided Tarachand Market in the city and arrested over 20 shopkeepers for violating lockdown rules. The administration also closed several shops.

The shopkeepers were violating SOPs set for opening the shops. Due to local transmission of coronavirus cases in the city, the local administration has expedited surprise raids at markets to ensure implementation of SOPs.
