Over 300 cyclists ran on the streets of Karachi to support the annual event, ‘Cycle for Change’, organized by The Citizens Foundation. This year, a prominent cycling group from Islamabad also participated in the event.

According to a statement from The Citizens Foundation, cyclists from various parts of Karachi gathered at the “Shireen Sultan Dosa Campus” in Qayyumabad to support the educational cause. The event has been held annually since 2021, organized by enthusiastic supporters of The Citizens Foundation.

Mrs. Nighat Dawoodi stated, ”Cycle for Change’ is a wonderful fundraising event for The Citizens Foundation. When the pandemic halted everything, we were facing difficulties raising funds for our children. During that time, the idea of ‘Cycle for Change’ came to us, and it received overwhelming support beyond our expectations.”

For almost three decades, The Citizens Foundation has remained steadfast in its mission to educate underprivileged children in Pakistan-taking them off the streets and enrolling them in schools. The foundation began its mission in 1995 with five schools. Today, The Citizens Foundation has 301,000 students enrolled across 2,033 school units throughout Pakistan.
