Hina Rabbani, AK Momen discuss mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in diverse fields

Islamabad: Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar who is in Colombo held a meeting with Bangladeshi Minister of Foreign Affairs AK Abdul Momen on the sidelines of Sri Lanka independence festivities. They discussed mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in diverse fields especially in economy and trade. The Minister of State expressed satisfaction over the fact that commercial relations between the two countries are gaining momentum, according to a Radio Pakistan’s report. She underscored the need for bolstering economic, trade and investment linkages, and enhancing tourism and people-to-people contacts. There is commonality of views between Pakistan and Bangladesh on many international issues, especially those pertaining to Muslim Ummah.

Kashmir Solidarity Day to be observed tomorrow

Islamabad: Kashmir Solidarity Day will be observed tomorrow (Sunday) to express whole hearted support of Pakistani nation to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under the UN resolutions. The day will also be marked to expose worst ever oppression being perpetrated by Indian occupation forces against Kashmiris in Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will address the session of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly tomorrow (Sunday). In a statement on Saturday in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said the Prime Minister in his address will express solidarity with the brave, zealous and freedom loving people of Kashmir on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan. World Bank praises BISP as successful model

Islamabad: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has reacted strongly to a recent tweet of PTI Chairman Imran Khan against the government describing it irresponsible and designed only to damage the country's security situation and spoil the political atmosphere. Food department recovers 66,000kg hoarded flour in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: The Punjab Food department in a crackdown against hoarders on Saturday recovered over 66,000kg hoarded flour in different raids in Rawalpindi. In order to provide relief to the citizens, the food department is monitoring the stocks by its tracking system. As per details, the deputy director food department in different raids on godowns in Rawalpindi recovered over 66,000 kgs of hoarded wheat flour. Cases have been registered against six people and sealed a flour mill. The recovered wheat flour will be provided to the masses at the government’s fixed rate, the deputy director said.
