Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today expressed Pakistan’s intent to enhance its cooperative partnership with the European Union, emphasizing the continuation of the GSP Plus scheme.
During a meeting with EU Ambassador Dr Riina Kionka in Islamabad, the Prime Minister highlighted the mutual benefits of the GSP Plus initiative since its inception.
The Prime Minister noted the cordial and friendly ties between Pakistan and the EU and expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in their relations. He welcomed the upcoming Pakistan-EU High Level Business Forum set to take place in Islamabad in May, assuring the EU of Pakistan’s full support in ensuring the event’s success.
Acknowledging the EU’s condolences over the recent terrorist attack on the Jaffar Express train in Balochistan, Sharif conveyed Pakistan’s commitment to eradicating terrorism. The EU Ambassador updated the Prime Minister on recent EU delegations’ visits to Pakistan and future engagements between the two parties.
