ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Azerbaijan have expressed the desire to strengthen cooperation in diverse fields including oil, energy and tourism.

The desire was expressed during a meeting between Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan Khazar Farhadov and Minister of state for Petroleum Dr Musadik Malik here in Islamabad on Friday.

The Minister of State lauded the long-standing relations of both the countries and reiterated the resolve of this government to further strengthen them. He said a focal person will be appointed from petroleum division for all energy sector collaborations. The Minister of State welcomed the investment proposals worth 100 million dollars from Azerbaijan’s state oil company in LNG sector.
