Islamabad, August 24, 2021 (PPI-OT):Pakistan and China have determined to remain closely engaged over the evolving situation in the region and reiterated the importance of and support to a peaceful political settlement and all-inclusive setup in Afghanistan. This understanding was reached during video call between National Security Advisor Dr. Moeed W. Yusuf and Chinese State Councillor and Minister of the Public Security of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Zhao Kezhi today.
During the call, the two leaders discussed regional peace and security as well as other matters of mutual interest. They also resolved that the all-weather Pakistan China friendship cannot be undermined by third countries that try to target their bilateral interests. The Security Advisor said that the perpetrators of terrorist attacks on Chinese nationals working in Pakistan will be brought to justice.
