Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif announced today that Pakistan has successfully met all the criteria set by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), negating any justification for its inclusion in any monitoring list.

Asif’s declaration comes amid ongoing geopolitical maneuvers, where he accuses India and Israel of attempting to undermine Pakistan”s progress. He said during a recent meeting, the International Cooperation Review Group of FATF evaluated Pakistan’s adherence to international financial standards and opted not to place the nation back on the Grey List. This decision marks a pivotal moment in Pakistan”s efforts to enhance its global financial reputation.

Highlighting the international support received, Asif mentioned that China played a crucial role in backing Pakistan at the FATF forum, with Turkiye aligning with China”s supportive stance. Further bolstering Pakistan”s position, Japan, serving as the Co-Chair of the Asia-Pacific Group, also extended its full support to Pakistan.

The defense minister emphasized the significance of this achievement, framing it as a major diplomatic victory against the persistent efforts by India and Israel to influence FATF decisions adversely against Pakistan. This development not only strengthens Pakistan”s standing in the international financial arena but also showcases the effectiveness of its diplomatic engagements across multiple fronts.
