Pakistan and the Czech Republic are taking steps to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors, including agriculture, industry, trade, and investment. Makhdoom Syed Sami-ul-Hassan Gillani, Member of the National Assembly and Convener of the Pakistan-Czech Republic Parliamentary Friendship Group, met with Czech Ambassador Ladislav Steinhbel in Islamabad on Wednesday to discuss strengthening ties.
Gillani emphasized the importance of parliamentary diplomacy and economic collaboration. He recalled the 2019 visit of a Czech parliamentary delegation and advocated for continued exchanges to foster enduring partnerships.
Ambassador Steinhbel acknowledged the value of parliamentary diplomacy in bolstering the relationship between the two nations. He confirmed the Czech Republic’s commitment to expanding cooperation and accepted Gillani”s invitation to visit Pakistan”s National Assembly in September to formally engage with the Friendship Group.
Both parties concurred on working closely through parliamentary and diplomatic avenues to advance shared goals, encourage people-to-people contact, and promote multifaceted cooperation.
