Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkiye Dr Yousaf Junaid hosted a group of intrepid motorcyclists from Cross Route Club Pakistan, who had reached Turkiye from Pakistan via Iran.
The group consisting of eight motorcyclists is currently on its expedition ‘Lahore Istanbul Rally’, aimed at showcasing the vibrant spirit of Pakistan and promoting tourism and cultural exchange between the brotherly countries, says a press release received here on Wednesday from Ankara.
While welcoming the motorcyclists, Ambassador Dr Yousaf Junaid stated that the remarkable expedition not only illustrated the spirit of adventure but also served as a testament to the enduring bonds of brotherhood and friendship between the two countries.
The envoy highlighted that Pakistan and Turkiye enjoy exemplary fraternal relations, with strong foundation in history, religion and shared linguistic and cultural values.
He emphasized that such initiatives would contribute significantly in further promoting people-to-people connections and mutual understanding, especially among the younger generations.
While sharing their experiences of the journey, the group led by Muqarram Tareen Khan reflected on the common heritage and shared values that unite the two countries and the significance of the expedition in inspiring future collaboration between Pakistan and Turkiye in the domain of adventure tourism.
He thanked the Ambassador and the governments of both countries for facilitating the expedition. Also, the members of the rally were presented certificates of appreciation by the Ambassador.
