The Government of Pakistan has safely evacuated 450 Pakistani pilgrims from Iran, with ongoing efforts to secure the safe return of more nationals, including students and other groups currently stranded in neighboring countries.

According to official information today, this proactive measure comes as the situation in the Middle East intensifies, prompting concerns over the safety of Pakistani citizens abroad. The first batch of evacuations included 450 pilgrims who were visiting religious sites in Iran. These individuals have now been safely brought back to Pakistan amidst growing regional unrest.

In addition to these evacuations, the government is also coordinating the safe passage of 154 Pakistani students who are presently in Iran for their studies. Plans are in place to facilitate their return as quickly and safely as possible.

Furthermore, the Pakistani Embassy in Iraq is actively involved in ensuring the well-being of several Pakistani Zaireen who find themselves stranded due to the sudden closure of airspace in the region. Diplomatic efforts are ongoing to guarantee their safety and arrange for their eventual evacuation from Iraq.

The Pakistani government’s prompt response to the crisis underscores its commitment to the welfare and security of its citizens abroad. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to address the potential risks associated with the regional instability and to safeguard Pakistani nationals facing uncertainty far from home.
