(Pakistan extends condolences over loss of lives in Jordan tragic incident)

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan has extended condolences over loss of lives as well as injuries in the tragic incident at Aqaba Port, Jordan.

In a press release on Tuesday, Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar expressed deepest sympathies to the families of the deceased and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured. He said Pakistan stands in solidarity with the brotherly people and government of Jordan in this moment of grief.

According to reports, a chlorine gas leak in Jordan’s southern port city of Aqaba on Monday killed at least 13 people and injured 251. The leak came after a tank filled with 25 tonnes of chlorine gas being exported to Djibouti fell while being transported.
