Pakistan moving towards new destination: CM

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday said country is moving towards new destination and negative politics espoused by the PDM cannot succeed in the new Pakistan.

In a statement, CM said the journey of development is continuous despite havoc played with the country. It is satisfying that the country is moving forward with renewed commitment and corruption-free governance, as well as development schemes, have become the conspicuous symbols of the incumbent government, he added.

There is no corruption scandal and two and a half years’ tenure is most transparent as compared with the previous three decades, the CM said. Every day was begun with a new corruption scandal and the people still remember the corruption stories of the past, he regretted.

The past rulers are reaping what they have sown. The resources were mercilessly looted in the past but the PTI has done away with this negative culture and there is no room for any corruption in the politics now, he said. The country is moving towards the destination of a new Pakistan and the development schemes are a unique example of quality and transparency, the CM concluded.
