Pakistan People Party Government to Resolve Peoples Problems at Gross Root Level

Islamabad: Strict action will be taken against the Head of a Department where action is awaited on the petitions referred to them by the Prime Minister’s Grievances Wing. A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held under the Chairmanship of Mr. Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Chief Coordinator, Prime Minister’s Grievances Wing here today.

The Chief Coordinator was informed that people from across the country approach the President and Prime Minister for redressal of their grievances. Upon directions of the Prime Minister, the Grievances Wing of Prime Minister’s Secretariat refers their requests to the concerned authorities for actions. However, some departments hesitate to take actions on the petitions despite repeated reminders.

The Chief Coordinator took serious notice on the negligence of the departments and said that Head of the Departments will be held responsible where actions is delayed on the petitions referred to them by the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.

He said that PPP Government believes in addressing the problems of the common people at the gross root level and negligence by any departments will not be tolerated at any cost. The Chief Coordinator directed all the departments at Federal and Provincial level including AJK and Gilgit Baltistan to expedite actions on the petitions which are lying pending with them for want of actions.

It was also decided that meeting will be held with the focal persons at Federal and Provincial levels to ensure speedy disposal of petitions so that grievances of the petitioners are resolved well in time.
