A high-level diplomatic meeting was held here on Thursday to explore avenues for advancing bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and Canada, with a significant focus placed on forthcoming trade, investment, and connectivity initiatives.
The discussions took place between Pakistan”s High Commissioner, Muhammad Saleem, and the Honourable Robert Oliphant, a Member of Parliament who serves as the Parliamentary Secretary to Canada”s Minister of Foreign Affairs.
According to an official statement, the dialogue centred on identifying promising areas to further bolster the growing relationship between the two Commonwealth nations. During the meeting, High Commissioner Saleem outlined a series of upcoming bilateral engagements designed to deepen diplomatic and cultural links.
A key emphasis of the conversation was on planned events aimed at promoting trade and attracting investment, signalling a mutual interest in enhancing the economic partnership.
The officials also exchanged ideas on new initiatives related to improving connectivity, a move that could facilitate greater people-to-people and commercial exchanges between Pakistan and Canada.
