Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Romanian Ambassador Dan Stanescu met at Parliament House today, where they discussed deteriorating situation in the Middle East as a highly concerning topic.
During their dialogue, both parties expressed significant interest in enhancing cooperation across parliamentary, educational, and economic sectors. The longstanding and friendly relations between Pakistan and Romania, rooted in mutual trust and respect, were reaffirmed, with a special emphasis on the importance of strengthening parliamentary ties to foster enhanced bilateral harmony and cooperation.
The establishment of the Pak-Romania Friendship Group in the National Assembly in 2013 was highlighted as a pivotal move in promoting parliamentary diplomacy, which has been instrumental in bolstering the relationship between the two countries. Ambassador Stanescu lauded Pakistan”s initiatives, particularly in the development of the IT sector, and stressed the need for closer inter-parliamentary relationships to boost regional cooperation.
