A delegation from the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) extended an official invitation to Federal Minister for Commerce, Mr. Jam Kamal Khan, to lead Pakistan’s delegation at two major events in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The 7th South Asian Business Leaders Conclave (SBLC) and South Asian Bazaar are scheduled for June and May 19-21, 2025, respectively.
The SBLC will be organized by the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) with support from SAARC member states, serving as a critical platform for regional economic dialogue and trade facilitation.
Concurrently, the South Asian Bazaar is expected to see significant Pakistani participation, with over 50 companies confirmed, including SMEs, artisan enterprises, and national brands from across Pakistan.
Delegation members, including Ms. Hina Mansab Khan and Mr. Zulfiqar Butt, underscored the need for the Minister’s support in enhancing Pakistani representation at these events. They highlighted the importance of logistical and financial assistance to boost participation from underserved regions.
Mr. Jam Kamal Khan appreciated the invitation and pledged the Ministry’s support for SME development and regional trade expansion. He described the events as pivotal for strengthening Pakistan’s economic ties within South Asia.
The meeting also saw proposals for cultural showcases, such as a fashion show to highlight Pakistan’s creative industries, suggested by Ms. Hina Mansab Khan. Mr. Sohail Anwar stressed the potential benefits of such initiatives in enhancing bilateral relations with Bangladesh.
The session concluded with commitments to ensure a robust Pakistani presence at the upcoming events in Dhaka.
