Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has announced that Pakistan will observe YoumeMarkaeHaq every year on May 10 to commemorate the significant success of Operation Bunyan Al Marsoos. This annual observance will celebrate the achievements of the armed forces and foster national solidarity.
The announcement includes observing May 16, 2025, as a day of tribute to the armed forces and a time to express gratitude through special prayers. Significant decisions were made regarding compensation for those affected by Indian attacks, including a Shuhada package for the martyrs and financial support for their families.
Families of civilian and military martyrs will receive substantial financial assistance, with provisions for housing, continued salaries, and educational benefits for children. The federal government will also cover medical expenses for the injured and reconstruct damaged properties.
The prime minister emphasized the government’s responsibility to support the children of martyrs and acknowledged the contributions of those who defended the nation, promising national recognition and awards.
