Pakistan wants to strengthen relations with all countries: Defence Minister

Islamabad, February 28, 2018 (PPI-OT): Defence Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan says Pakistan wants to strengthen relations with all countries including the United States, China, Russia, and Gulf states. Talking to a news channel, he said Pakistan has suffered the most due to terrorism but the menace has now been largely overcome through Zarb-e-Azb and Radd-ul-Fasaad operations. The Defence Minister said there are neither any terrorist sanctuaries or Haqqani network nor any ungoverned places in Pakistan.

He said Pakistan wants to see a stable, democratic and peaceful Afghanistan. He said the United States with the help of Allied forces launched the longest war in Afghanistan and now it is pegging its failure on Pakistan. Khurram Dastgir said half of Afghanistan is safe haven for terrorists and the United States must be worried about Helmand Shura. To a question, he said India has committed four hundred violations on the Line of Control this year. He said the current uprising in occupied Kashmir is completely indigenous.
