National Assembly Speaker, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, has delivered a powerful message today on the occasion of Jammu Martyrs’ Day, calling on the international community to hold India accountable for alleged human rights violations in Kashmir. He described the tragedy of November 6, 1947, as one of the darkest chapters of the subcontinent, equating the massacre of over 200,000 Kashmiris by Dogra forces and extremist groups to genocide.

He criticized India’s attempts to change the demographic structure of the region and called the abrogation of Articles 370 and 35-A a clear violation of United Nations resolutions.
He affirmed Pakistan’s political, moral, and diplomatic support in the Kashmiri people’s quest for self-determination. Sadiq said that the sacrifices of the Jammu martyrs are a beacon of light, demonstrating the determination and resilience of the Kashmiri people. According to him, this courage is an exemplary model for the global community.
