The Euro also strengthened against the local currency, reaching a high of 332.00 rupees and a low of 329.68 rupees. Similarly, the British Pound saw gains, trading between 386.72 rupees and 389.27 rupees.
The Japanese Yen, although relatively weaker, also appreciated against the Rupee, trading between 1.92 rupees and 1.97 rupees.
Regional currencies saw gains as well. The UAE Dirham traded between 77.48 rupees and 78.04 rupees, while the Saudi Riyal fluctuated between 75.82 rupees and 76.30 rupees.
In interbank transactions, the US dollar stayed within a limited range, trading between 283.72 rupees and 283.92 rupees. The continued decline of the Rupee raises concerns about its impact on Pakistan’s financial stability, including potential inflationary pressures and increased import costs.
