The highest echelons of the National Assembly, including Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, have expressed profound sorrow over the passing of the mother of Joint Secretary (Administration) and Director General IT, Jawad Abid, a loss described as immense and deeply felt within the parliamentary community.
In his condolence message on Saturday, the Speaker termed the death an “irreparable loss” for the senior official and his family. He stated that a mother’s presence is one of life’s greatest blessings and her departure leaves a significant void.
Speaker Sadiq conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to Mr. Abid and the bereaved family. He prayed that Allah Almighty grant the departed soul a high place in Jannah and bestow patience upon the family to bear this substantial grief.
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, also shared his deep sadness over the demise. He offered prayers for the eternal peace of the departed soul and for the family to find the courage to endure their profound loss.
Additionally, a wave of condolences came from other senior figures within the National Assembly Secretariat. Secretary Syed Tahir Hussain, Additional Secretary Saeed Ahmed Maitla, Special Secretary Syed Shamoon Hashmi, Advisor on Legislation Muhammad Mushtaq, and Director General (Media) Zafar Sultan extended their commiserations to Mr. Abid.
The officials stated that the bereavement is not only a great personal tragedy for the family but is also keenly felt by his colleagues. They prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the departed, elevates her spiritual rank in the hereafter, and grants solace to the grieving family.
