ISLAMABAD:Vice President of Pakistan Businesses Forum (PBF) Ahmad Jawad has extended his heartiest congratulations to Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on assuming the office of Prime Minister of Pakistan.

In a statement on Tuesday, PBF Vice President hoped that Shahbaz Sharif as Prime Minister would steer the country out of the multi-faceted challenges being confronted the country. “It is extremely unfortunate that a government that millions had pinned high hopes on has ended in such colossal failure”.

However, Ahmad Jawad on behalf of the PBF, assured Shehbaz Sharif of best cooperation and assistance in initiating business friendly economic and commercial policies as these policies have a direct bearing on trade and industry.

He wished Shehbaz Sharif every success in fulfilling his new responsibilities and dream of making ‘Economic Pakistan’ a reality. He also said that Shehbaz Sharif personifies both the vision and the ability to deliver the vision in practical form.

On the economic front, he hoped that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would now prioritize some of the urgent economic issues being faced by the country. The main issue which country is facing is inflation and weakening of the rupee. The PM may address these issue on priority so that common man may get relief and that would be only possible when Pak rupee would be strengthen.

He also urged the new economic team to revisit the free float policy of the rupee because it is not suitable for us. It is also inevitable reality that there had been a zero increase in average income as Pakistan never shook off the balance of payment (BoP) crisis, he maintained. He said similarly trade with regional countries may be on priority of the new government including Iran and India, also the 2nd phase of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) may execute speedily.
