Islamabad, August 27, 2021 (PPI-OT): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says Pakistan desires peace and stability in Afghanistan. He was talking to office-bearers of Badin Press Club along with Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr Fehmida Mirza in Islamabad today (Friday). The Information Minister said Pakistan wishes to connect China-Pakistan Economic Corridor with European Union and it is only possible if there is peace in Afghanistan.
He said by connecting CPEC with EU, economic activity in the region will boost. The Minister said Prime Minister Imran Khan had earlier suggested former Afghan President Ashraf Ghani to form an inclusive government. He said we will now suggest Taliban to form a coalition government.
Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said Pakistan convinced Taliban for talks with the Afghan government, but unfortunately, Ashraf Ghani did not listen to us. On the occasion, the Information Minister listened to the problems of the office-bearers of Badin Press Club and ensured them to address their problems on priority basis.
