Lahore, July 07, 2018 (PPI-OT): Interim Chief Minister Punjab Dr. Hasan Askari has said that first and last priority of the interim government is to hold the general elections in a transparent and peaceful manner. The interim government is totally impartial and apolitical. Talking to representatives of foreign media, Interim CM Dr. Hasan Askari said the interim government has been set up to ensure holding of general elections in a transparent manner and for transparent polls every possible efforts are being made.
We will ensure peaceful and free environment for elections. He said all political parties are getting equal opportunities for polls. The interim government is taking measures to improve law and order. He said holding of general election in a peaceful manner is our national responsibility and it will be discharged at any cost. He will discharge all legal and moral responsibilities efficiently. Interim Finance and Law Minister Zia Haider Rizvi was also present on the occasion.
