Peaceful settlement of Kashmir dispute stressed

Srinagar, January 29, 2018 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader and the Jammu and Kashmir People’s League (JKPL) Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza has stressed the need for peaceful political settlement of Kashmir dispute. Mukhtar Ahmad Waza along with a party delegation visited Peerbagh, Hyderpora, where he expressed solidarity with the family of party vice chairman, Syed Aijaz Rehmani over the sad demise of his nephew, Syed Tanzeel Ahmad Shah.

He said Kashmir has its own historical background and as long as Kashmir dispute is not resolved in accordance with the aspirations of Kashmiri people peace in South Asia will remain a dream. Meanwhile, Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Kashmir was an internationally recognized dispute and its peaceful settlement was pre-requisite for bringing progress and prosperity in the region.
