UMERKOT:Umerkot faces coronavirus vaccines shortage since last five days, exposing Sindh government’s claim of keeping the health sector among its top priorities, affected people told PPI on Saturday.
Sinovac, PakVac and CanSino vaccines are not available at Civil Hospital Umerkot’s Covid-19 Vaccination Centre for the last five days due to which citizens could not get vaccination doses and were forced to return home disappointed, according to the citizens.
Dr Muhammad Afzal, Focal Person for Covid-19, however, said that they had vaccinated more than 32,000 men and women across Umerkot district and at present, they had second dose of AstraZeneca and Sinopharm vaccines, which were being administered to the people. The civil society groups and have demanded that corona vaccines should be provided forthwith at the Corona Vaccination Center Umerkot as soon as possible.
