Karachi, August 08, 2018 (PPI-OT): PIA Hajj flight PK 2057 Lahore- Jeddah was delayed due to technical reasons on Wednesday afternoon 2:00 PM. The aircraft Boeing 777 carrying 390 passengers developed a fault before take- off at Allama Iqbal Airport Lahore.
The passengers of the flight were transported through another aircraft Boeing 777 LR, late evening from Lahore Airport. Due to smaller capacity aircraft with 310 seats nearly 80 passengers have been further adjusted on another flight which will depart on Thursday Morning. The passengers have been provided hotel accommodation. The maintenance work on the aircraft was commenced immediately and the aircraft will be serviceable by tomorrow. PIA regrets the inconvenience caused to its passengers. PIA Spokesman concluded.
