PIA halts flight operation in Karachi

Karachi

Karachi:Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has immediately stopped its flight operations from Karachi on Sunday after officials of Sindh health department officials insisted to send four pilots suspected of contracting the coronavirus to quarantine.

After the incident, CEO Air Marshal Arshad Malik issued immediate instructions to ground the planes in Karachi. Sources said that four pilots were stopped as part of precautionary measures against the virus. However, a PIA spokesman said the news of presence of virus in any pilot is misleading.
