Plea to allocate multi-purpose hall to female players

QUETTA: Nisar Yadgar Sarangzai, Secretary Information, Balochistan Archery Association has called on the authorities to allow female players of the province to use Women Multi-Purpose Hall of Ayub Stadium, Quetta for playing games.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he said that Women Multi-Purpose Hall has been established solely for female players of different disciplines of sports, but the said hall has recently been allotted to man’s boxing game by the authorities of Balochistan Sports Board due to unknown reasons. He said that boxing ring has been fixed in the hall, barring thereby female players of the province to practice or play games in the said hall meant for female players.

He called on Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan, Chief Secretary Mather Niaz Rana, Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Abdul Khaliq Hazara, Secretary Sports and Youth Affairs Department Imran Gichki and Director Sports, Balochistan Sports Board, to get the Women Multi-Purpose Hall, Ayub Stadium allotted to female players of the province, enabling them to use the said hall for practice of their respective games.

He said if multi-purpose hall of Ayub Stadium was not allotted to female players, Balochistan Archery Association in cooperation with other associations of sports would launch a protest movement against the authorities of sports department.
